Dr. Aruna Korlimarla, PhD, is the Principal Scientist and Head of the Department of Molecular Oncology at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, with over 15 years of experience in translational cancer research. A pioneer in applying spatial transcriptomics for breast cancer in India, she specializes in precision oncology, molecular diagnostics, and multi-omics cancer research. Her expertise spans advanced platforms including next-generation sequencing, NanoString, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, and bioinformatics-driven multi-omics data integration. Dr. Korlimarla has contributed extensively to biomarker discovery, companion diagnostics development, and clinical implementation of molecular tools to improve patient outcomes. She has authored over 25 peer-reviewed articles and presented 20 abstracts internationally. As a member of the Indian Cancer Genome Atlas and the Association of Molecular Pathologists of India, she is committed to advancing population-specific precision medicine, early detection technologies, and AI-integrated diagnostics. Her vision is to position the institution as a premier precision oncology center in India and South Asia.
